Florida Airports Council Education Foundation Scholarship Program

Aviation is a vital part of Florida's economy and airports contribute over $144 billion annually to the state's economy. FAC realized the necessity to attract the finest future avia­tion professionals to Florida. Therefore, the FAC Educational Foundation was established in 1990 to:
​

             • Further the professionalism of FAC members so they can effectively perform their duties and responsibilities
             • Financially assist students pursuing degrees in aviation​

2025 Scholarship Application

​The Education Foundation President Karen Feaster, the Education Committee and FAC staff is pleased to announce the opening of the 2025 Scholarship Application period.
 
Eligible students are encouraged to apply for the 2025 FAC Education Foundation Scholarship. Since 1990, the FAC Education Foundation has awarded more than $454,000 to 173 students. These students demonstrated excellence in academics and represent the future of the aviation industry.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

As a student of an institution that is an Educational Member of FAC, you are eligible to apply for a FAC scholarship. To apply you must meet the following criteria:

1) Student must be actively enrolled in one of FAC's Educational Member accredited institutions in Florida pursuing a degree or concentration in aviation from the list below. 

*Note: If you are attending one of the member schools below and not living in the State of Florida, then you are not eligible to apply.
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, (Daytona Beach Campus)
  • Everglades University
  • Florida Institute of Technology
  • Lynn University
  • Polk State College
  • University of South Florida

2) Has achieved at least sophomore standing with a member institution (defined as having completed 29 credit hours).

3) Will have at least one semester of coursework remaining after May 2025 (defined as needing 15 credit hours remaining toward you degree program).

4) Has a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher.

5) Provides unofficial transcript with application.

6) Is available for a video conference interview on Friday, April 18, 2025.

This application will close after February 21, 2025.​
