The Florida Airports Council awards Internship Grants to airport members to help provide work experience for students interested in pursuing careers in aviation/airport fields and to provide a talented workforce for Florida's airports. Grants are awarded to airports that demonstrate a willingness and desire to employ and supervise an Intern. The Council has awarded over $527K in internship grants to member airports that have positively impacted 160 students.

Submit a complete application by email.
Attach a statement of your organization's top executive or a copy of your Board's statements showing willingness to accept the grant funds.
Application Evaluation Process
As applications are received, they are reviewed to ensure they meet the set criteria. Airports that meet the criteria will be placed on a continuing list that will be maintained by FAC staff. Internships will be awarded in order of approval, in accordance with the number of internship opportunities approved by the Board of Directors. Ten Internship Grants will be awarded for 2024/25. Airports are eligible to re-apply for their next internship after having fulfilled all the requirements of their current internship.
Deadline
Applications for the 2024-2025 year must be received in sufficient time to complete an internship and return closing documents to FAC by September 30, 2025. Applications will be accepted via email.
