Legislative Advocacy to present FAC-member issues to the Florida Legislature, Governor and state leaders. FAC is assisted by the Tallahassee-based governmental consulting firm of Ballard Partners.
Membership Directory As a member you will receive a hard copy of the directory and an electronic copy to assist you in locating and contacting industry suppliers, as well as your colleagues in the airport/aviation industry.
Electronic Newsletters to keep you current on local, state, and federal issues. RFP's, RFQ's, and Bids are mailed directly to corporate members when received. You can be among the first to know when projects or jobs become available.
Annual Conference and Exposition to give you the opportunity to attend educational sessions and see corporate members' products and services. FAC Members receive deep discounts for registration and exhibiting.
Education and Training Summit to provide participants with specialty training and presentations from leading airport professionals and their private sector counterparts relative to airport management, operations, facilities, airport security, noise and environmental issues, and IT functions. This is a 2.5-day event featuring workshops and sessions focusing on the important activities of the committees and other matters affecting airports. FAC Members receive deep discounts for registration and exhibiting.
State Summit to meet with legislators in Tallahassee to discuss the Council's legislative programs and issues for the year. FAC Members receive discounts for registration.
Federal Affairs Committee Fly-In to Washington D.C. to present members' issues to national leaders including the Florida Legislative Delegation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Homeland Security, and others as needed.
Educational Seminars, Webinars and Workshops on various airport-related issues presented throughout the state, and available on our website to all FAC member airports.
The lifeblood of any association is the contribution and efforts of its committees. Committees allow members from all categories to participate as full voting members of FAC's thirteen standing committees. The Council has become one of the nation’s premier airport organizations, in a large part, due to the volunteer efforts of its members who are encouraged to join and become active in one or more of the following standing committees. A description of each committee may be found below:

Corporate Committee: Made up of corporate members representing professionals in aviation fields, this committee addresses issues of importance to their group and serves as a liaison between the corporate membership and FAC Board. The Chair of the committee serves on the Board of Directors. |

Education Committee: This committee of the Education Foundation is responsible for oversight and management of the Council’s educational program, which includes the airport internship program, scholarship program, and student chapters. |

|
Environmental Committee: Airport activities impact the environment in many ways. This committee focuses on environmental issues and provides opportunities for members to discuss concerns and requirements of state and federal laws, technological and system improvements that may benefit FAC members. |

Facilities Committee: This committee is concerned with the day-to-day operation of Florida’s airports, maintaining airport infrastructure, facilities maintenance, and professional development of operations and maintenance personnel. |

Federal Affairs Committee: This committee reviews and recommends to the Board of Directors and Executive Officers actions pertaining to federal issues of concern to the Council’s membership. The Committee conducts an annual meeting in Washington, D.C. to discuss Florida’s airport issues with Congress, FAA, TSA and other federal agencies. |

The General Aviation Committee serves as the voice of Florida’s general aviation/community airports, addressing issues of specific concern to managers of these airports, and presenting recommendations to the Board of Directors. Members are airport managers, airport staff, and professionals with specific expertise. |

The IT Committee consists of professional IT staff at airports and their respective corporate counterparts. This committee focuses on the latest issues and developments in the information technology industry and assists Florida’s small airports with their technological needs. |

The Legal Committee keeps members updated on the latest developments in federal and state law as it applies to airports, with particular emphasis on regulatory matters (FDOT and FAA), educates airport lawyers and non-lawyers on non-airport, Florida-specific legal issues, and educates those who have a substantial legal component to their jobs on issues about which they should have a basic familiarity. | |

Noise Abatement & Community Affairs Committee: Airport noise and community relations are critically important to Florida’s airports. This committee focuses on off-airport noise issues, including land use, airport zoning and community relations activities, and serves as a sounding board for noise abatement professionals and public information specialists throughout the state. |

This Security Committee provides an opportunity for airport security directors, security coordinators, and airport police chiefs/ /officers to discuss best practices and security related issues that impact Florida’s airports as well as share information on latest technologies and laws impacting their airport functions. |
